Applying for an embassy visa:
Mauritius, as if now, does not have a Vietnam embassy and hence obtaining a visa is a tedious task for the applicants here. The citizens do not have any other method but to trace an embassy in any neighboring country that can accept their visa requests. You will find Vietnam embassies in Mozambique, India, Tanzania, Zimbabwe etc. You may approach any of these, with your application.
1) You need to fill up the visa application form that has been provided on the website. Attach the necessary documents, color photo, and fill up this form for submission.
2) Visiting the embassy will be unrealistic hence; you need to send the form via post. Choose a good service, as you have to submit your original passport in addition to the form. You can choose to pay the processing fee via check or in cash.
3) Once the form is approved by the embassy, the visa will be processed within 5 to 7 business days. You will take some more days due to the postal service involved.
4) This visa will give you the right to travel to Vietnam through any preferred route i.e. land, water, or air.
Applying for a VOA:
It is understandable by now that obtaining an embassy visa is a difficult process and an expensive one too, as you have to contact internationally located authorities. Hence, we suggest to the Mauritius citizens to go for a Visa on Arrival that is the easiest way of getting a visa.
1) Fill up the application form with zero documentation involved. Pay the necessary processing fee and you are done. This fee will depend on the visa that you seek and the duration for which you need to stay.
2) This application is forwarded to the Vietnam Immigration department that will sign an approval letter in your name. We will mail this letter to your registered e-mail in just two business days.
3) This letter is all you need to get on a flight for Vietnam. Once you reach the airport, the approval letter will be checked by the immigration officer and then the visa will be stamped. We ensure that this complete process is problem free for our clients.
4) This visa is valid for a journey through airways only. For entry though water and land gateway, only an embassy can give a valid visa.
