Ways to Get Visa Vietnam for Lebanese Citizens

Lebanese citizens are required to obtain Visa in order to enter Vietnam. Usually, there are two ways in which a foreign citizen can obtain Visa to Vietnam. He can either contact the Embassy of Vietnam in his country or apply for Visa on Arrival. However, Vietnam does not have an embassy in Lebanon. This makes the process of application for Visa through the embassy a little complicated for Lebanese citizens. If you are a Lebanese citizen and wish to apply for Visa through the embassy, you will have to either travel to the embassy location in a neighboring country or get in touch with the embassy officials to enquire if the process can be facilitated through postal mail. 

• Apply through the embassy

In case you decide to travel to the embassy location, you will have to invest a lot of money and time. At the embassy, you will be guided by the embassy staff about the submission of required documents and payment of mandatory fees. At the embassy, you will be asked to fill up the Visa application form. Along with the duly filled form, you will have to submit documents such as one self-addressed envelope, one recent passport sized photograph and your original passport. Once you have submitted the documents and made the payment, your application will be submitted for processing. 

The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents. Once your documents are processed, you will be issued a fully stamped Visa. One of the greatest benefits of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you will have a fully stamped Visa in your hands before leaving for Vietnam. However, this process is too time consuming and expensive. 

In case you decide to apply for Visa through correspondence, you will have to send across all your documents through postal mail. This means you stand to lose your valuable documents if your package is misplaced or lost in transit. 

The easiest way for Lebanese citizens to apply for Visa is through Visa on Arrival. 

• Apply for Visa on Arrival

Visa on Arrival is a more convenient, easier and faster method for applying for Visa. In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will be required to fill up an online application wherein you will have to key in details such as your name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay etc. While filling up the purpose of visit section, you will have to choose from options such as business, tourist and transit. A business Visa offers a validity of one month, three months and six months. A tourist Visa offers a validity of one month and transit Visa offers a validity of less than five days. 

Once you have filled the form, submit it for processing. Usually, online forms are processed in two to three days, after which you will be issued a letter of approval. Your travel agent can collect this letter of approval on your behalf and have it forwarded to you. 

On reaching Vietnam, you will have to submit this letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival counter of the airport you arrive in. Along with the letter, you will also have to pay the Visa stamping fees.
