Applying for a visa at the embassy:
The Vietnam embassy is situated in the city of Paris and works from Monday to Friday. In order to obtain a visa, you will need to apply at the embassy.
1) You will need the visa application form that you can get either from the embassy website or from the office. The form needs to be duly filled with all the details.
2) You will need to paste a latest color photograph to this form and submit the original passport to the embassy along with it.
3) At the time of making the application, you will also need to make a payment as the visa-processing fee. The payment can be made in cash or via an embassy payable check.
4) The application can be submitted by you in person or you may send it via post if you stay away from the embassy.
5) On successful acceptance, the visa will be made available in a span of 3 to 7 working days.
Applying for a VOA:
In addition to the embassy, the immigration department too can issue visas. These are called VOAs or visa on arrival.
