Applying for an embassy visa:
Botswana does not have a Vietnam embassy and hence the process of application becomes tedious for the applicants from this country. The citizens have to look for embassies in nearby countries that can process their visa requirements. You may approach embassies in Angola, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, etc. with the request to process for visa.
1) The first step is filling the application form from the embassy website. Prepare you form for submission by attaching the relevant documents and affixing for photograph.
2) It won’t be feasible to visit the embassy; hence you should choose an embassy which allows the application to be submitted by post. Select a reliable postal service for the process that allows tracking the status of delivery.
3) You also have to deposit an application fee.
4) Once the application form is accepted, you will receive a visa within 5-7 days. You may expect some more days to be added to the processing time because of postal services being involved.
5) With this visa you may enter Vietnam through any route that you prefer.
Applying for a VOA:
It is evident that getting a visa from an embassy will be tedious and expensive for citizens of Botswana. Hence, it’s better if Botswana citizen apply for a VOA, that is, Visa on Arrival through an agency like ours. The process in short is:
1) Fill the application form online on our website and pay the application fee. This fee will depend on the type of visa and the duration of stay. You do not have to submit any documents whatsoever when you apply by this method.
2) Further processing would be completed by us. We submit your form to the immigration department. After verifying the application they will send an approval letter. We will send this letter via mail within 2 working days. We make sure that the process is as smooth as possible.
3) This letter and a valid passport constitute all the documents that you need to board a flight to Vietnam. On arriving at an important airport the visa will be stamped after it is verified by the immigration officer.
4) This visa is applicable only when you travel by air. If you plan to travel by an unusual route you will have to opt for a visa issued by an embassy.
