• Apply through the embassy
You can contact the Embassy of Vietnam for your Visa application. At the embassy, the embassy officials will take you through a step by step procedure on filling up of necessary forms, submission of relevant documents and payment of mandatory fees. The Embassy of Vietnam in Belarus is situated in:

At the embassy you will have to fill up the Visa application form. Along with the form, you will have to submit one recent passport sized photograph, one self-addressed envelope and your original passport. Besides submitting these documents, you will have to pay the Visa fees. These fees can be paid in favor of the Embassy of Vietnam by money order or cashier’s cheque.
The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents. Once your documents are processed, you will be issued a fully stamped Visa. One of the major benefits of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you will have a fully stamped Visa in your hands before you leave for Vietnam. However, there are several disadvantages. You will have to travel back and forth to the embassy several times as this procedure requires an applicant to pay multiple visits till the procedure is complete. Also, your documents will be sent by postal mail, which means there are high chances of misplacement and loss in transit.
• Apply for Visa on Arrival
Visa on Arrival is an easy and convenient process. To apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will have to fill up an online application form. You will have to key in details such as name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay etc. While filling in the purpose of visit section, you will have to choose from options such as business, tourist and transit. A business Visa comes with validity of one month, three months and six months. A tourist Visa comes with a validity of one month and transit Visa comes with a validity of less than five days.
Once your form is processed, you will be issued a letter of approval. Your travel agent can collect this letter of approval on your behalf and have it forwarded to you. On reaching Vietnam, you will have to submit the letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival counter of the airport you arrive in and collect you Visa on Arrival document. Besides this, you will have to pay Visa stamping fees in order to collect your Visa on Arrival.
The Visa on Arrival is a facility which is available only to those who arrive in Vietnam by air. For those taking land routes, it is mandatory that they carry all their documents along with them while traveling.
