There are two ways in which a Bangladesh national can apply for Visa:
• Apply through the Embassy
The standard procedure for Visa application is to forward the application through the embassy of Vietnam in Bangladesh. The address of the Embassy of Vietnam in Bangladesh is:

Any Bangladesh citizen who wishes to apply for Visa to Vietnam can contact officials at the embassy and personally visit the embassy for filling up the form. Along with the form, he will be required to submit his original, valid Bangladesh passport, recent passport sized photograph and a self-addressed envelope. The embassy takes at least five working days to process all documents and issue the Visa.
The major benefit of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you will get the Visa through postal mail before you leave for Vietnam. However, there are a number of drawbacks. Only citizens living near the embassy will be able to visit the embassy frequently to submit their forms and follow up on the process. For anybody who lives in a far away place, it would require a lot of time and investment. Also, a lot of people do not like to send their passports in postal mail due to the fear of misplacement. If you have these issues too, then the Visa on Arrival facility would be ideal for you.
• Apply for Visa on Arrival
The most convenient method to apply for Visa is through online application. In order to fill an online application, you will have to seek the help of a travel agent in Vietnam. You will have to fill in details such as your name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay etc. Once this form is processed, you will be sent a letter of approval. This letter of approval can be collected by your travel agent and forwarded to you. You will have to submit this letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival at the Vietnamese airport you arrive in to collect your Visa.
Besides filling up the forms, you will be required to pay the Visa fees. These fees can be paid to the Embassy of Vietnam via money order or cashier’s cheque. Also, you will have to pay the Visa stamping fees at the Visa on Arrival counter when you submit the approval letter. The Visa on Arrival is a document which is as effective as the Visa document itself.
It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival facility is extended to only those travellers who arrive in Vietnam by air. Those travellers who take the land route are required to carry their Visa along with their passport while travelling.
