• Apply through Embassy or Consulate
If you wish to travel to Vietnam for travelling, business, education or work related purposes, you can easily apply for Visa to Vietnam. All you need to do is get in touch with the Vietnam embassy in Brazil. At the embassy, you will be guided by the embassy officials on the procedure to follow for applying for a Vietnamese Visa. The procedure includes filling up of forms and payment of Visa fees. The benefit of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you can obtain your approved Visa before your travel to Vietnam. The contact details of the embassy of Vietnam in Brazil is:

However, there are certain disadvantages of applying through an embassy. If you reside in a location, where there is no embassy or if the embassy is located at a far off distance, you will have to travel to the embassy location to apply for your Visa. Also, application through the embassy will require multiple visits in order to fill up forms, collect the Visa etc. If you are someone who will not be able to travel so frequently due to the distance or time crunch, then the procedure through embassy will not be advisable. Applying for Visa on Arrival would be the best option for you.
• Apply for Visa on Arrival
The Visa on Arrival scheme is one of the most convenient facilities offered for those who need to travel frequently. To apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent who will help you fill up the form for Visa application. You will be asked for details such as name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay in Vietnam etc on the online form and these details are stored over a secured gateway. Once the information is processed, an approval letter will be sent, which your travel agent will have to collect for you. You will have to fix this approval letter to your passport, submit the stamping fees and then collect your Visa.
The Visa on Approval is as good as a fully stamped Visa and will entitle you to all facilities and place you under the same restrictions as the Visa issued by the embassy would. Vietnamese government is stringent about the activities that a person undertakes in the country. Make sure you fill up the right category while filling up the purpose of visit section on your form.
It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival document is valid only for those who arrive in Vietnam by air. For those taking the land route to Vietnam, it is mandatory that they affix a copy of their Visa to their passports. In case of a cruise ship, the cruise ship authorities can be contacted for Visa on Arrival.
