Visa for entering Vietnam
• For entering Vietnam, citizens of Uganda can apply for visa from the Vietnam Embassy in Tanzania.
• Since Uganda is the place where there is no Vietnam Embassy rather you have to visit Tanzania to apply for visa, so for those citizens travelling by air can apply visa online on arrival within 2 working days or just 2 hours.
• You don’t require any document and passport, if you have applied for Vietnam visa at the time of arrival. All you need to do is provide all the necessary visa information by filling visa online application with full name, nationality, date of birth, gender, in addition to passport number. Vietnam Immigration Department will deliver a letter of approval through an email at the given time.

Points to remember
• Sometimes because of high service fee (from US$180 to US$225 per visa plus stamping fee) citizens of Uganda are not suggested to apply for visa on arrival.
• If you are applying for Vietnam visa at from the Vietnam Embassy in Tanzania but you are denied then the agency assist you to take the necessary steps but there is no guarantee that it will get approved by the Immigration Department of Vietnam.
Visa Issuance:
Citizens holding pre-approval letter issued only in Ha Noi, Vietnam by the Immigration department of Vietnam (Ministry of Public Security) or the Consular Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), can obtain a visa at the time of arrival for a maximum stay of one or three months at Da Nang (DAD), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) or Hanoi (HAN).

• USD 45- The fee is for a single entry staying on 1 or 3 months visa.
• USD 65 – The fee is for multiple entries staying on a stay of 1 month visa.
• USD 95- The fee is for multiple entries staying on 3 months visa.

For minors arriving or departing from Vietnam who are 13 years or younger in age must travel with their parent or legal guardian.
