At the embassy, you will have to fill up the Visa application form. Along with the duly filled form, you will be required to submit one recent passport size photograph, one self-addressed envelope and your original passport. It is important that your passport must have at least six months validity. Besides these documents, you will also have to submit the Visa fees. You can pay the amount in favor of the Embassy of Vietnam by way of cashier’s check or money order. Your documents will then be submitted for processing.
The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents. Once your documents are processed, you will be issued a fully stamped Visa in the self addressed envelope you had submitted. Although this process allows you to get a fully stamped Visa before your departure to Vietnam, it can be quite expensive and hence is not much preferred.
In case you decide to apply for Visa through correspondence, you will have to send across all documents, including your original passport, via postal mail. In this case, you stand to lose your original passport if your package is misplaced or lost in transit.
Hence, the ideal process for Visa application for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan is through online application. Through online application you can apply for Visa on Arrival. In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will have to fill an online application form and fill in details such as your name, occupation, address, purpose of visit, duration of stay etc. Once you have filled in these details, your form will be submitted for processing. You can pay the Visa fees and the travel agent’s service charges online too.
After the online application form is processed, you will be issued a letter of approval. Online applications are usually processed in a couple of days. Your travel agent can collect this letter of approval on your behalf and later forward it to you. On reaching Vietnam, you will have to submit this letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival counter along with the Visa stamping fees to collect your Visa on Arrival document.
