If you decide to travel to the embassy location, you will have to incur travel expenses. At the embassy, you will have to fill up the Visa application form. Along with the duly filled form, you will have to submit one recent passport sized photograph, a self-addressed envelope and your original passport. Besides submitting these documents, you will have to submit the Visa fees which can be paid to the Embassy of Vietnam by way of money order or cashier’s cheque.
The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents. Once your documents are processed, you will be issued a fully stamped Visa. Although this process allows you to get a fully stamped Visa in hand before your departure to Vietnam, it is time consuming and expensive.
If you decide to apply for Visa to Vietnam through correspondence, you will send all your documents, including your original passport, through postal mail. This is highly risky as you could lose your passport, if you package is misplaced or lost in transit.
The best way to apply for Visa for Bolivian citizens is the Visa on Arrival process. In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will be required to fill an online application form where you will have to fill in details such as name, occupation, duration of stay, purpose of visit etc. While filling in the purpose of visit section, you will have to choose from options such as business, tourist and transit. A business Visa comes with a validity of one month, three months and six months. A tourist Visa will give you a validity of one month and a transit Visa will offer you a validity of less than five days.
Once the form is processed, you will be issued a letter of approval. This letter of approval can be collected by your travel agent and forwarded to you. On reaching Vietnam, you will be required to submit the letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival counter of the airport you arrive in. Along with the letter of approval, you will be required to submit the Visa stamping fees in order to collect your Visa on Arrival.
It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival facility is extended to only those who travel to Vietnam by air. For those taking land routes, it is mandatory that they carry all their documents with them while traveling to Vietnam.
