If you are a Yemen citizen and wish to obtain a Visa to Vietnam through the Embassy of Vietnam, you will have to reach out to the embassies located in neighbouring countries. You can either travel to the location of the embassy or contact them via mail or postal mail. If you do not wish to travel to another location for the Visa application, you will have to check with other embassies if they can help you obtain the Visa through postal mail. This, however, is a risky procedure. While applying through the embassy, you are required to submit your original passport, along with other documents such as a duly filled form, one recent sized photograph and a self-addressed envelope to receive the Visa.
There are good chances of misplacement of the documents through postal mail. Also, the expenses are much more through this procedure. If you do not wish to submit your documents via postal mail, you can easily opt for the Visa on Arrival procedure. The Visa on Arrival procedure allows you to apply for Visa to Vietnam from any location as the application form is filled online. This will save you a lot of time and money, which you would otherwise spend on travelling back and forth to the embassy location.
In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will have to fill up an online application mentioning your personal details, dates of travel, purpose of visit etc. While filling up the online application, you will have to choose from three options to state the purpose of your visit. This information will be used to issue your Visa. A business Visa will give you validity of one month, three months or six months. A tourist Visa comes with a validity of one month and a transit Visa comes with a validity of less than five days.
You will also have to specify the kind of Visa you need in terms of entry. Usually, the Visa issued is for single entry only. If you wish to enter Vietnam through another country, you will have to specify multiple entry and pay additional fees for it. It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival facility is available only to those travellers who arrive in Vietnam via air. If you are planning to travel to Vietnam through the land route, you will have to obtain the Visa beforehand and carry it along with your passport. For those travelling on a cruise ship, the cruise authorities can help you with Visa on Arrival information.
