It is mandatory for citizens of all the countries to possess validated visa for getting in Vietnam under the provisions made by Vietnam Immigration Department. There are mainly two ways by means of which you can get Vietnam visa as:
- Application for visa-on-arrival, and
- Getting visa at embassy of Vietnam in Romania.
1. Application for visa-on-arrival: This method is highly beneficial for people who have to travel a lot as it is a less time consuming and fast service. Though the embassy of Vietnam is present in Romania, but for people who do not have Vietnam embassy near them and in their country, are recommended to opt for visa-on-arrival alternative. Fill the online application form and submit it with asked processing and service charges via any of the suitable payment options. Your approval letter will be mailed to you. The visa-on-arrival itself indicates that you will be provided with visa on your arrival at Vietnam International Airport. You will present the approval letter including passport sized photographs, and stamping fees to get your visa stamped.
Note: Visa-on-arrival is available for people traveling through air. It takes only 2 working days in usual process and 1 day in case of any kind of emergency.
2. Getting visa at embassy of Vietnam in Romania: As the embassy of Vietnam in Romania is present, so you can go for this option. But before you proceed, keep following points in your mind:
• You have searched the correct address of Vietnam embassy in Romania.
• If you choose to apply at embassy for visa, you will have to submit your original Romania passport.
• Complete all the documents and carefully place them in an envelope to cope with losing issues.
• Documents include Romania passport with a minimum validity of 6 months, 2 passport snaps, stamping charges and 1 stamped envelope with your correct home address written on it.
• It takes 5-7 business days for processing your visa application and provides you with the same.
Note: if you opt to apply at an embassy of Vietnam in Romania, you will have to visit there personally to complete all the formalities. Besides, your original passport is submitted along with all the necessary papers. So keep some Xerox copies of your passport in case you need it elsewhere.
