Some Information and Procedure to Get Visa at Embassy of Vietnam in Nigeria

If you are a Nigerian citizen and wish to travel to Vietnam, you must apply for Visa. Application for Visa is a simple and easy process. You can apply for Visa by either visiting the Embassy of Vietnam in Nigeria or put in your application through the Internet. If the Embassy of Vietnam is situated near your residence or the area where you live, you can easily reach out to the officials in the embassy to fill in your application.

Any Nigerian individual who wishes to apply for Visa must hold a valid original Nigerian passport. This passport needs to be submitted at the embassy along with recent passport sized photographs and a self addressed individual. While filling up your form at the embassy, you will be asked to fill up the form in English and mention the place of submission and collection of the Visa as Vietnam. Once you have filled the form and submitted all relevant documents, you will have to make a payment as Visa fees. These fees can be paid in the form of a money order or cashier cheque payable to the Embassy of Vietnam.

The passport must have a validity of six months and a few spare pages for stamping. The passport size photos must be recent and should be fixed on your application form. The self addressed envelope will be used by the embassy to send you your Visa, once your papers have been processed. It is important that you mention your purpose of visit. The embassy takes about five working days to process all your documents and issue you the Visa. Once complete, the Visa will be sent to you in the self-addressed envelope you submit.

Apart from the visa fees, there may be additional fees that you will have to pay. You can check about these fees from the embassy officials over the telephone or through mail. If you have opted for Visa on Arrival, you will have to pay Visa stamping fees to collect your Visa on Arrival.

Another way in which Visa can be obtained is through Visa on Arrival. Visa on Arrival can be obtained by filling up the Visa application form online. You can do this by getting in touch with a travel agent who can help you fill up the form. The form will require you to enter details such as your name, occupation, duration of stay, purpose of visit etc. While filling in the purpose of your visit, you will be asked to pick from business, tourist or transit options depending on the nature of your visit. After all these details are filled up, your form will be processed. After processing, you will receive a letter of approval, which will later have to be submitted at the Visa on Arrival counter at the Vietnamese airport you arrive in along with Visa stamping fees.

It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival facility is extended only to those travellers who arrive in Vietnam by air. For those taking land routes, it is important that they carry all necessary documents with them while travelling.
