Procedure to apply:
The procedure is very well defined although a little time consuming. The first, and the foremost, requirement is to have a valid passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expiration date of your Vietnam visa. The passport should also have at least one blank page. When this requirement is fulfilled, other things need to be taken care of. You can apply for a Vietnamese visa at the max, 6 months in advance from your planned date of departure.
1. Firstly, you need to obtain the application form, which is available at the embassy office as well on their official website. You can download the form and fill up all the information. Along with this, you will also need a photocopy of your passport as well as the original and a color photo.
2. Submit these at the embassy office. Along with the duly filled form, you will need to make a payment, which will depend on the duration of your stay.
3. If you stay too far from, the embassy you can fulfill all these formalities via a registered mail and the visa will be mailed to your house.
4. Once the application has been approved, the visa will be processed in the next 5 working days.
In addition to this, if you are going to Vietnam via airways, you can also go for a Visa on Arrival that is much more convenient and cheaper.
