Applying a Visa at the embassy:
The Vietnam embassy is situated in the city of Tehran. The website will help you with the complete mailing and e-mail address to get in touch with the embassy. The embassy observes weekly offs on Fridays and Saturdays. The working hours are from Sunday to Thursday from morning 9 am to evening 4:30 pm.
1) You may collect the visa application form from the embassy office or you may download it from the official website. The form can be filled up online and then printed or you may fill it manually as well.
2) The application will require two colored photos with a preferred dimension of 4 cm by 6 cm or 3 cm by 4 cm. You need to affix one to the form and submit the other loosely.
3) A fee is charged for the process of granting visa and it depends upon the visa type and duration of stay. So enquire about the fee that you will need to pay before initiating the process. The fee can be paid in cash or via a check to the embassy.
4) You will submit this form along with your valid original passport to the embassy. The form can be submitted by you personally or you may also choose to submit it via post.
5) The form after being scrutinized will be taken forward for a visa. The embassy usually gives a visa in a span of 3 to 5 working days.
6) If you want the embassy to send you the visa by post then send a pre paid envelop to them so that the visa can be shipped to you.
7) On receipt of the visa, carefully check all the information like name, spelling etc so that you do not face any difficulties latter on. Any discrepancy, get in touch with the embassy immediately.
8) This visa holds well irrespective of your point of entry into Vietnam.
