1) You may apply for an embassy via mail or in person.
2) The Vietnam embassy is located in the capital city of Athens. Before visiting the embassy, you may communicate with them, inquiring about the working days to plan your visit accordingly.
3) Download the application form from the embassy website. Complete the form carefully. Alternatively, you may fill the form online, take a printout and then sign it for submission.
4) The original passport has to be submitted to the embassy when applying for a visa. The passport must have one month validity from the date of departure from Vietnam. This may extend to 6 months depending on the requirement by the airlines. A color photo is also required for submission of the form.
5) The processing fee may be paid in cash, when applying in person or the cash may be enclosed within the envelope. If the applicant wishes to pay by an alternate route, they can get it deposited in the Bank Account of The Embassy of Vietnam in Greece.
6) If the applicant wishes to have the visa delivered to his place, he would have to submit a prepaid return envelope for the same. The applicant may keep a record of the tracking number to keep an account of the delivery process.
7) The time taken for the entire process is up to 5 days. An accelerated process is available where the applicant would get a visa within 24 hours of the Embassy receiving all the documents. An additional fee has to be paid for the expedited process.
8)The visa is valid for travel through air, water and road.
An alternate and easier way of application is applying for VOA through agencies like ours, but it must be noted that this visa is valid only for airways. The application can be sent online. It is then sent to the Vietnam immigration department; once the process is completed successfully the approval letter would be sent to you by email.
