Germans needs to have a visa to make a trip to Vietnam. Over here, the Vietnamese embassy plays a very important role. This embassy issues around 20 different types of visas, the most common of which is the tourist visa. A single entry visa is issued for 30 days while multi entry visa is issued for 90 days. A workers visa is issued for a max of 2 years and an investor can get a visa for up to 5 years.
The embassy is located in the city of Berlin. The Vietnamese embassy works on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday only. The application acceptance time starts at 9 am in the morning and breaks at 12: 30 pm. They start again at 2 pm and call a day at 5 pm. Plan your application time accordingly.
Process:
1) A valid passport is of immense importance. The passport must hold its validity for a month at least after the end of your visa. Once this is accomplished, you may move ahead with the other formalities.
2) The website has the application form that can be filled online. The form can also be collected from the embassy or downloaded from the website. Fill up the form manually or print the duly filled form.
3) The application needs to be supported with your original passport and a color photo (4 cm by 6 cm) in dimension.
4) You can send this application via mail to the embassy along with the payment check or take it personally and pay the fee in cash.
5) On acceptance, the embassy will issue a visa in about a week. You can also send a pre paid envelop to the embassy if you wish to receive your visa via mail.
6) An embassy visa is applicable for any type of journey that you take to Vietnam – air, land or cruise.
Apart from this traditional way of obtaining a visa, agents like us also offer a VOA (Visa on arrival) to travelers who take airways as their preferred means. This is quicker (processing time 2 to 3 days) and much more economical. The entire process is done online and hence is hassle free with no paper work. We are specialists when it comes to VOAs. Our service is one of the best and yet humble to your pocket. If you are landing at Vietnam through its major airports then we strongly recommend a VOA. For journeys through road or waterways, an embassy visa will do the needful.
