Some information & procedure to get visa at embassy of Vietnam in Cuba

Cuba citizens need to ensure that they have a proper Vietnam visa to get an entry into Vietnam. However, since Vietnam has a democratic bond with Cuba it has given several visa exemptions to the Cuban citizens provided they fall under the predefined criteria. Cuban citizens have the advantage of having an inland official Vietnam embassy. This embassy processes all the requests for any type of Vietnam visa for the citizens here. The embassy has been established in the city of Havana or La Habana. Get to know about their working hours before planning a visit to the embassy. Usually, the embassies work between Monday and Friday and rest on the weekends. In addition, the embassy will also remain closed on the public holidays observed in Cuba and Vietnam. The process is as follows:-

1) First, obtain the visa application form either from the embassy office or from the embassy website. You may fill the form online and later take a print out or simply fill it up manually.

2) The documents required to complete the application need to be attached along with a latest colored photograph.

3) Along with this form, you will also need to hand over your original passport to the embassy. The passport should have a validity of at least 6 months from the date of departure from Vietnam. The passport should have at least one blank page left so that the embassy can stamp your visa.

4) The best way is to take this application to the embassy in person but if you reside far from Havana, you may send the application through a good postal service.

5) At the time of making an application, you will also need to make a payment i.e. the processing fee, to the embassy. You may choose to pay either in cash or via a check in the name of the embassy.

6) This application will be checked and once accepted, you will get you your visa in the next 5 to 7 working days.

7) You may send a pre paid envelope to the embassy with your address on it so that the embassy can send you your visa.

8) Once you receive your visa, cross check all the information to ensure that there is no discrepancy. If there are, any corrections required, then immediately get in touch with the embassy.

9) This type of visa gives you the authority to enter into Vietnam from any preferred route i.e. roadways, waterways, or airways.
