The Process for applying a Vietnamese visa

• You need to possess 1 colour picture not more than a year old from the applying date.
• You also need to submit a copy of your passport. It is not applicable if the visa request is loose leaf type.
• The applicant needs to submit visa fee payable at the embassy of Vietnam. The fees depend on the duration of the individual’s stay in the country.
People applying by email need to attach a pre-paid, self addressed return envelope. There are a number of trusted courier services in Canada like FEDEX. Using their services is very much recommended. Note the passport number, envelope tracking number to check the visa status when required.
Processing time for visa applications
The processing time for the visa applications is 5 business days from the day of the receipt of the completed documents.
If the traveller requests for rush services where the processing period is 2 business days from the date of receipt of the completed documents then additional processing fee is required.
