Citizens of which all countries do not require a visa for entering Vietnam
Here is a list of countries whose citizens can enter and stay in Vietnam for a specific number of days without needing a Vietnam visa.
• Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand: visa free stay for 30 days
• Philippines: visa free stay for 21 days
• Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Japan and Korea South: visa free stay for 15 days
• Brunei and Myanmar: visa free stay for 14 days
As for those who do not belong to the above mentioned countries, have to seek for a Vietnam visa for visiting and staying Vietnam. Hence the citizens of Bahrain are also required to apply for a Vietnam visa for visiting this country.
A noteworthy point to be mentioned here is that, people from the above mentioned countries can only remain in Vietnam visa-free for the number of days allotted for them according to the Immigration Law of Vietnam, and also the visa free entry for the given time period will be valid if only the people leave Vietnam for 30 days at the least before they can further avail the visa free entry into this country. If they return before 30 days of time then they will require a Vietnam visa.
How many types of Vietnam visas are there?
There are two types of visas allotted to people visiting Vietnam which depends upon their purpose of visiting Vietnam:
1. One is the tourist visa given to people who are simply on a trip to Vietnam and want to sightsee around the country and enjoy a vacation.
2. And the other one is a business visa given to people who want to conduct business or are visiting for official purposes to this country.
As for the citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, there is no Vietnam embassy within the country as of yet. So the citizens have to apply for a Vietnam visa either through the nearest Vietnam embassy or consulate of a neighboring nation, or through an online visa application service for a Vietnam visa on arrival. The VOA or Visa on arrival is handed over to the visitors on arrival at the Vietnam international airport and is currently the most convenient and hassle-free visa application procedure for nationals which do not have a Vietnam embassy in their country.

Photograph requirements:
For Visa application for Vietnam, one has to submit, recent passport sized colored photographs taken recently of 2 x 2 dimensions, facing the front with plain or light background. This is a common document requisition for applying a visa for visiting any other country.
Passport Requirements:
One requires an original signed passport with a validity of at least 1 month beyond the staying period in Vietnam and containing at least one blank page in the passport for accommodating the Vietnamese Visa Stamp.
