Jade Emperor Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City

Phap Lam pagoda

Phap Lam Pagoda, situated at 574 Ong Ich Khiem street, Danang city Vietam, built in 1936, based on eastern fashion, covers an area of 3,000m2. This pagoda firstly functioned as a place for activities of An Nam buddhology association in Danang, but today it becomes a command post of Danang Buddhist association.

Xiem Can Pagoda in Bac Lieu province

Located 7km from the Bac Lieu Town, The Xiem Can Pagoda exists itself as the biggest pagoda of Khmer community and the most splendid pagoda in the South Vietnam that feature rich Khmer culture with its unique architecture style.

The impressive architectural design of the central chamber in Xiem Can Pagoda features motifs showing the beauty of culture of Khmer people in its details such as the domes, walls, pillars, doors, and stairs. There are many images of fairies and monsters engraved in the body of pillars. Besides, steps of the stairs were carved with the Nagar Basilisk. Coming to the central chamber of the pagoda, you will clearly feel like stepping into a different world of spirit silence and comfort. Following the two main walls, there are many embossments and wall-paintings, especially the wall-paintings expressing the life of Gautama Buddha from his birthday to his death and the wall-paintings express Ramayama Epic.

Minh Pagoda in Bac Lieu province

Location: located at Ward 3, Bac Lieu Town, Bac Lieu Province, Minh Pagoda was built by a group of named Minh Huong headed by Tran Thiet Thuan, the chairman of VInh Huong Village. The pagoda was originally constructed from 1890 and completed in 1923.

Duc La Pagoda in Bac Giang province

Located in Tri Yen Commune, Yen Dung District, Bac Giang Province, Duc La Pagoda was built in 12th century. The pagoda was once a center of Truc Lam Trinity (King Tran Nhan Tong, Phap Loa and Huyen Quang monks) who opened a school of Buddhist preaching and established the Truc Lam religious sect.

From the Bac Giang City, a crooked red soil trail runs off Route 13, just past Tan An Commune, let to Duc La Pagoda, also known as Vinh Nghiem Tu (80km north of Hanoi). Surrounded by rolling hill area, the pagoda lies on the Co Tien Mountain range and on the batiks of the Luc River on its left. Further away is the Thuong River which converges with the Luc River to form the Phuong Nhon Junction.

The great victory of Chi Lang - Xuong Giang (Lang Son - Bac Giang) and the Dong Quan oath -taking ceremony (Hanoi) were huge historic events 570 years ago (1427-1997). Two most important characters related to these events were the national heroes Le Loi and Nguyen Trai who were the head of the peasant revolution in Lam Son (Thanh Hoa) in the 15th century against invaders from the North.
